Our council meets every Third Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. Currently our meeting location is at Saint Michael's Parish Hall located at 74 Derby Avenue, Derby, CT 06418

The Paugassett council was formed on September 17,1885 and is one of the original councils formed during Father McGivney's time. The name of the council was derived from the Indian Tribe that originally inhabited the valley area around Derby, CT. Council #28 works closely with the Saint Michael's Parish and St. Jude's Parish in Derby, CT, providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their parish. etc.
